Our mission

Information system mapping is more than just an inventory of applications and servers. It lies at the heart of IT governance, and plays a key role in strategic decision-making, risk management and resource optimization.

That’s why Carto-SI is based on a global approach to enterprise mapping, covering several essential IS dimensions:

🔹Application mapping Application mapping provides a detailed view of a company’s software ecosystem. Each application is listed, along with its connections to other tools, databases and services. This approach is crucial for controlling IS urbanization, rationalizing redundancies and preparing application migrations or modernizations.

🔹 Process mapping Process mapping: this enables analysis of how workflows and business operations are supported by the IS. By linking processes to underlying applications and infrastructures, IT Departments can better understand the impact of technological change on business activities, and optimize user paths.

🔹 Infrastructure mapping Infrastructure mapping provides a precise, technical overview of a company’s IT infrastructure. It is essential for risk management, cybersecurity and operational resilience, by identifying critical points of failure and dependencies.

🔹 Data mapping With our multi-layer mapping approach, it becomes possible to clearly represent where sensitive data is stored, how it flows between applications, and what the associated risks are. By integrating advanced features such as dependency analysis and critical flow management , Carto-SI helps IT departments comply with regulations (RGPD, ISO 27001…) and optimize their data governance.

Our mission: map your IS

The challenge is simple: to offer a dynamic, interconnected cartography, where each IS layer is linked to the others. Carto-SI doesn’t just represent what already exists, it turns it into a decision-making tool. Thanks to this approach, companies can better understand their IS, anticipate changes and ensure controlled digital transformation.

Today, Carto-SI has been adopted by companies of all sizes, from SMEs to major corporations, with its flexible, scalable approach. But innovation doesn’t stop there, as founder Malloum Laya explains.

We continue to enhance Carto-SI with new capabilities in predictive analytics, AI and integration with ITSM and cloud tools. The aim is for every CIO to be able to make a decision in seconds, without ever being caught off guard.

The genesis of Carto-SI

Carto-SI was born of an observation: the use of TOGAF and the frustration of CIOs. TOGAF is widely criticized for its limitations and frequent failures, as highlighted by a Gartner report available here and a detailed study by Erasmus University Rotterdam, accessible via Springer.

At Carto-SI, we’ve made a proactive decision not to lead our customers down these blind alleys. With over 15 years’ experience as IT specialists, we know what really works.

For the past 7 years, we’ve been working with top CIOs and, above all, with CIO operational staff to improve our solution. We have needed and continue to need all the feedback we can get from all the different departments in order to achieve continuous improvement.

We have identified two major challenges with TOGAF:

Carto-SI is committed to meeting these challenges by using effective TOGAF concepts and developing innovative approaches that better meet your needs and working methods.

Our mission is to simplify and optimize your processes by mapping themensuring better understanding and harmonious collaboration between all stakeholders.
